Update: 18-year-old man charged with conspiracy to murder over shooting of British BLM activist, Sasha Johnson

An 18-year-old London man has been charged with conspiracy to murder in connection with the shooting of British Black Lives Matter activist Sasha Johnson, who remained hospitalised in critical condition.

Johnson, a 27-year-old mother of three and vocal equal rights campaigner, was shot in the head at a house party in south London last Sunday.

On Friday, London's Metropolitan Police said Cameron Deriggs has been charged with conspiracy to murder in connection with the shooting.

Deriggs was among five men arrested Wednesday on suspicion of attempted murder in the case. He and two others were also arrested on suspicion of affray (a group fight) and possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.

The youngest of the group, a 17-year-old, was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. The fifth man, 25, was arrested on suspicion of affray and failing to stop for police.Latest Post Follow us on Google newsTwitter and on Facebook
